The Diocese of Dallas is pleased to announce that Bishop Edward J. Burns has appointed Reverend Arthur Unachukwu as Vicar General, Moderator of the Curia and Vicar for Clergy for the Diocese of Dallas, effective immediately.
The Gospel reminds us that the Good Shepherd knows His sheep, and they know Him, and He calls them by name to lead them where they are needed most (John 10:14-16). In the same way, we trust in God’s providence as He now calls Bishop Greg Kelly to shepherd a new flock in east Texas.
The bishops of Texas will continue to work with government officials and other people of good will to implement policies that recognize the dignity of every person, prioritize family unity, and address the root causes of forced migration, while respecting the right and responsibility of our country to secure its borders, regulate immigration in an orderly process, maintain the rule of law, and keep its communities safe and peaceful.
