01 Apr: St. Cecilia parishioners walk Camino de Santiago to deepen Lenten devotion

For years, the St. Cecilia Catholic Parish community has prayed the Stations of the Cross inside the church. This Lent, a group of parishioners took that devotion a step further, walking 100 kilometers — an average of about 13 miles a day — over six days in Spain. Their goal: to help make a long-held dream a reality by building an outdoor Stations of the Cross garden at the parish.

Elizabeth’s words to Mary form the bridge from the Annunciation to the Visitation in the Hail Mary prayer: “Blessed are you among women, and blest is the fruit of your womb” (Lk 1:42). After Mary’s hasty journey to her kinswoman, she, carrying Jesus in her womb-ark, receives an exuberant welcome from Elizabeth and John the Baptist. The unborn babies, Jesus and John, meet for the first time as their mothers embrace. Elizabeth explains what she has felt in her heart and in her womb:

31 Mar: Cuatro décadas de fe: miles se reúnen en Dallas por el aniversario del Camino Neocatecumenal

El obispo Edward J. Burns celebró una solemne liturgia con motivo del 40º aniversario del Camino Neocatecumenal en la Diócesis de Dallas el 1 de marzo, en el Moody Coliseum de la SMU. Asistieron más de 4,000 personas.

El obispo Burns estuvo acompañado por sacerdotes, seminaristas y hermanos y hermanas del Camino Neocatecumenal de diez parroquias de la diócesis para el rezo de las vísperas y el canto del “Te Deum”.

La velada sirvió como un momento para dar testimonio y agradecer al Señor por el bien realizado a través del Camino Neocatecumenal en la Diócesis de Dallas durante los últimos 40 años.
