Coming together to support Catholic schools

The Bishop’s Invitational Golf Tournament celebrated its 15th year on Sept. 22 at Stonebriar Country Club, drawing more than 50 teams and more than 125 sponsors to support tuition assistance for students in pre-K through eighth grade at Catholic schools in the Diocese of Dallas. The tournament exceeded its goal of $725,000 to bring the 15-year total to more than $9.23 million.

Co-chairs announced for 2024 Bishop’s Invitational Golf Tournament

The Catholic Diocese of Dallas is pleased to announce Tere and Javier Creixell Sr. along with Ana and Javier Creixell Jr. as the Co-Chairs for the 14th Annual Bishop’s Invitational Golf Tournament and CHRISTUS Health as the continued Title Sponsor. The Tournament will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the beautiful Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco. The purpose of the Bishop’s Invitational is to provide need-based tuition assistance and scholarships for K-8th grade students attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Dallas. We are thrilled to be working alongside the Creixells to help us continue to grow this important mission.

Kara and Peter Gehan announced as chairs for 2023 Bishop’s Invitational Golf Tournament

The Catholic Diocese of Dallas has announced Kara and Peter Gehan as the chairs for the 13th Annual Bishop’s Invitational Golf Tournament.  The tournament will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, and will be moving to a new location, the Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco.  The purpose of the bishop’s Invitational is to provide need-based tuition assistance and scholarships for K-8th grade students attending Catholic schools in the Dallas area.

A mother’s love fuels graduate’s path to success

Years of hard work, determination and prayers culminated in a celebration on May 27 for Luz Flores as her daughter Cielo Martínez walked the stage as a member of the Bishop Dunne Catholic School Class of 2022. That celebration, though, would not have been possible without a combination of a family’s perseverance and a Catholic community’s helping hand.
