DALLAS— Desde que tenía tres años, Daniel Avilez, supo que quería bailarle a la Virgen de Guadalupe. Cuatro años después, este diciembre, su sueño se hizo realidad cuando la Danza Matachines de la Catedral Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, convocó a niños entre los 4 y 14 años, para dar forma a un nuevo capítulo: la danza Estrellitas de la Virgen.
El ministerio encontró en la formación de nuevos danzantes, la mejor forma de celebrar medio cuarto de siglo de historia en la Diócesis de Dallas.

DALLAS — Lo que empezó como una inquietud de dos frailes capuchinos un 9 de enero de 1960, cuando admiraron la devoción de los esposos Inés y Juan González en la capilla de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes en Dallas, trajo a nuestra diócesis un movimiento de evangelización, que este año celebra medio siglo.
Los esposos González, de paso por Dallas, habían vivido un Cursillo de Cristiandad en la vecina ciudad de Waco y fue su devoción lo que llevó a los frailes capuchinos a experimentarlo y traerlo a la Diócesis de Dallas, hace 50 años.
