The Diocese of Dallas is expanding its efforts to help Catholics with disabilities more fully participate in parish life, welcoming five additional parishes into its Community of Disciples initiative and broadening the ministry’s reach into predominantly Spanish-speaking and Vietnamese communities.
St. Cecilia Catholic Parish
For years, the St. Cecilia Catholic Parish community has prayed the Stations of the Cross inside the church. This Lent, a group of parishioners took that devotion a step further, walking 100 kilometers — an average of about 13 miles a day — over six days in Spain. Their goal: to help make a long-held dream a reality by building an outdoor Stations of the Cross garden at the parish.
Catechetical Sunday is a special occasion for the national Church to recognize and bless the invaluable work of catechists who dedicate themselves to teaching and nurturing the faith within our communities.
