Cristo Rey Dallas delebrates 10 years of transforming lives through education and Corporate Work Study

Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep proudly marks its 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of empowering students of low to moderate household incomes through its commitment to academic excellence and the school’s innovative Corporate Work Study program.

Since opening its doors in 2015, Cristo Rey Dallas has provided more than 1,000 hardworking young men and women with the tools needed to achieve their dreams and transform futures for themselves and their families. With more than 600 graduates attending top-tier institutions including Notre Dame, Georgetown, The University of Texas, Cornell and SMU, the school is changing lives for generations and creating a talent pipeline for the North Texas business community.

Through the school’s Corporate Work Study program, students earn 60% of their tuition by spending one day each week of the school year working at more than 130 businesses across North Texas. They provide entry level and administrative support in industries that range from legal and architecture to real estate, healthcare, financial services, non-profit and more.

In 10 short years, the school has grown from a founding class of 115 to a current enrollment of almost 500, with a robust wait list of students eager to create a path to college and professional success. The expanded collegiate-style campus now includes two new buildings that provide 72,000 square feet dedicated to classrooms, science labs, a Corporate Work Study suite, offices, a student life center and cafeteria, fine arts studios, worship center and more. A competition gymnasium also serves as a storm shelter for the school and the surrounding community.

“Reaching this milestone is a testament to the resilience and determination of our students, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the unwavering support of our community,” said Dr. Patrick M. Walsh, President of Cristo Rey Dallas. “We are proud to celebrate 10 years of creating impact and opportunity for deserving students and look forward to continuing our mission for many more years to come.”

Cristo Rey Dallas invites the community to join in the celebration and support its mission of providing a transformative education to students of all backgrounds.
