What began as a handful of Catholic couples seeking fellowship has grown into a faith-filled community where marriages have been strengthened, children have been raised, and friendships have endured for generations. For five decades, the CANA Club has woven a tapestry of faith and fellowship, shaping not only the lives of its members but also the families and parishes that surround them.
September marks the Month of the Bible, a time that the Church has set aside for the reading, reflection, and meditation of Holy Scripture. In recognition of this special observance, The Texas Catholic is highlighting the fruitful efforts of three Bible study groups from Diocese of Dallas parishes — St. Pius X Catholic Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, and St. Rita Catholic Community — as they endeavor to open the hearts and minds of their communities to the abiding Word of God.
Members of Dallas Area Interfaith and the St. Pius X Catholic Church community came together in cooperation with the Dallas Police Department to participate in a community walk on Nov. 4.
A new SmartLab at St. Pius X Catholic School offers more than just state-of-the-art technology to students. It also helps provide lifelong learning skills that will benefit students beyond the walls of the east Dallas school.
A special Mass and program were held at the St. Pius X Catholic Church’s Over 55 Club’s regular monthly meeting on May 17 to honor six couples that are celebrating their 50-plus wedding anniversaries during the past two years.
