Leading into the Advent season, Father Jason Cargo, pastor of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, has partnered with illustrator Dr. Allison Hsu to publish his first book, “Jesse Tree: A Catholic Journey for Advent,” which walks readers through each day of Advent with a Jesse Tree devotion.
With its annual assembly, the Dallas Diocesan Council of Catholic Women on Nov. 4 honored 20 women as Diocesan Women of the Year for their impact on their faith communities.
Father Miguel Sotelo is a new priest for the Diocese of Dallas. He was ordained along with seven other men as a priest for the diocese on May 20 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. On July 1, Father Sotelo began serving as a parochial vicar at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano.
